Over the course of the last week I have been with some of the most inspirational people I have ever met. Every year the Pais Movement leaders gather from all over the world in Texas for Pais’ Global Summit. It is always a great week of catching up and hearing stories of what God is doing through Pais teams across all 6 continents, hearing great teaching and direction to help us develop our nations and updates of all the business developments and resources the Global team have been and are working on.
The main focus of the teaching this year was an elaboration on our Spread, Spot, Stay, Send method of discipleship taken from Jesus’ commissioning of the disciples in Luke 10. Each day there were some really helpful strategies outlined to help us develop discipleship in our nations. I particularly found some of the alternative angles on this passage really helpful and will continue to think more about how I can apply them back with Pais in Ireland. I don’t want to unpack it too much because it will be out via livewire or at a SWAP conference soon and much more profound in its entirety.
Each year there are also some common traditions like the Pais Movement Kubb World cup. Which Tony and I won for the second time in a row and incredible hospitality from both the Pais Global team and wonderful Pais Movement friends in Texas.
There were also some nice surprises along the way, like our host generously lending us their beautiful Corvette Stingray.
And we also honoured Andre for the incredible job he has done recruiting and resourcing so many Pais teams around the world with brilliant German apprentices, as he transitions into a new role with Pais in Germany.
So after a jam packed week I am looking forward to heading home to the beautiful North Coast and catching up with the family again.
