Sitting in an airport for the 3rd time this week I am waiting to catch a flight to Dallas for the annual Pais Movement Leaders gathering #GS2016.
Earlier this week Beccy and I took a couple of days off in Manchester. A few weeks ago we won tickets, a hotel stay and travel to the 1st Leg of the Champions League Semi final with Pepsi Max.
I didn’t think anyone ever won those competitions you see advertised on the front of products like Pepsi. But we did and they flew us back to my home town Manchester for the Manchester City v Real Madrid match.
I grew up in Manchester so am familiar with the sights, legends and culture, but it was nice to get the chance to spend some time away from the day to day and take in the city again. I do love Manchester, there is always loads going on, you can almost taste the heritage and whether your into culture, architecture, coffee, food, music, football there is plenty to be impressed with
In keeping with the football theme of our break we took a look around the National Football Museum next to the Printworks which was actually more fascinating than it sounds. In preparation for the #GS2016 we have been reading Alex Ferguson’s book ‘Leading’. The book is full of some really insightful and inspirational thoughts and lots of anecdotal stories. So in a similar context it was interesting to see some other icon’s of the game’s inspirational words immortalised in graphics.
