Can you believe a few days ago marked the first day autumn/fall depending where you are reading this.
How did summer pass by so fast?
As we head into this new season I wanted to share a little of what we’ve been up to over the past couple of months since my last update.
Much of the summer was spent preparing for our new teams who we began training mid August. This year a large part of that preparation was adapting our usual in person conferences and workshops to work as online training classes.
Whilst many of us miss in person interaction I am pleased to say I think on the whole our online sessions went much better than expected. I am incredibly grateful for technology that gives us the opportunity to continue resourcing and equipping missionaries around the world. In the past couple of months I have facilitated a little over 100 training workshops via various video call platforms.
We also took a little time off over the summer and enjoyed a family staycation. Embarrassingly although we have lived here for three years now we have seen very little of what the Dallas Fort Worth area has to offer, so we had lots of fun making up for lost time.
As we round the corner into October next week we begin to prepare for our Global Haverim month and SWAP training conferences in November, continue to create multiple resources for our teams each month and prepare for training our January intakes. We’d love to invite you to join with us and pray for some of the outstanding visas for our teams around the world, our on going national director search for North America and the relationships of our teams as they navigate in-person and online team dynamics.
